Chinese Lotus Root Cake

This is very interesting dish. Today i had prepared these Chinese style lotus root cakes for my lunch.  The lotus root is good for digestion and help reducing body heat especially for this hot summer days. It’s is a very healthy vegan dish and will surprise your taste  =) The typically lotus root cake will mix with minced meat but in this recipe the vegetables in advance. So, i didn’t add any meat or dairy product such as egg.

这道菜色非常有趣。今天准备了中式莲藕煎饼当我的午餐。莲藕有益于消化和解毒清凉的功效尤其在这么炎热的夏天。这是一个非常健康的素食菜肴,并会惊讶你的味道=)典型的莲藕煎饼具多是与肉末做结合,但在这食谱当中“蔬菜” 是主角。所以,我没加任何肉类或乳制品如鸡蛋。

Ingredients / 食谱

1) Lotus shred – 100g
莲藕丝 -100克

2)Sweet corn – 100g
甜玉米-100克

3)Spring onion – 100g
葱花-30克

4)Onion chopped – 100g
洋葱丁-100克

5)Carrot chopped – 100g
萝卜丁-100克

6)Oats – 30g
麦片-30克

7)Flour – 20g
面粉-20克

8)Olive oil -3 teaspoons
橄榄油 -3茶匙

9)Seasoning with little salt and black pepper powder
适量的盐巴&黑胡椒粉做调味

Combine all the ingredients into a large bowl .
将所有的食材倒入大碗里混合均匀。

Form the veggies mixture into ball shape and the side edge roll with black sesame seed.
将混合好的蔬菜弄成球状,侧边以滚动的方式沾上黑芝麻。

Pour some olive oil and heat up the pan with medium low fire. Pan-fry the lotus cakes until both side golden brown.
倒入少许的橄榄油,开中小火预热锅子,然后煎至双面呈现金黄色即可。

Done ! Serve with hot and eat with ketchup ~ Yum …Yum..
完成!趁热吃,沾上番茄酱更美味~
