Tomatoes Cookies Sticks

I love to try out variety of vegan recipes especially interested in natural and healthy baking foods. During my free time, I will browse through website to get more inspiration on vegan foods. I personally love the concept of using various kind of vegetables add into baking pastry such as cookies and cakes.So,in this recipe I use the red colour vegetable, tomatoes and parsley herbs to incorporate into cookies. These tomatoes cookies are made without dairy products and it’s taste slightly sour with refreshing.These vegan treats are so great for whole family members or person who want to control diet (like me ^^)

Ingredients / 步骤:-

Plain flour – 100g
低筋面粉-100克

Sugar – 25g
砂糖-25克

Salt – 2 pinch
盐巴-2小撮

Baking powder – 1/3 teaspoons
泡打粉- 1/3小匙

Dry parsley – 2 Tablespoons
干的香菜片-2汤匙

Grapeseed oil – 1 Tablespoon
葡萄籽油-1汤匙

Tomatoes paste – 60g
番茄糊-60克

*Pre-heat oven at 170C / 预热烤箱在170度*

Steps / 步骤:-

1)Wash the tomatoes and cut a very shallow “X” on the bottom of tomatoes.
将番茄洗净,然后用刀在番茄的底部割一个“X”字。

2)Place the tomatoes into boiling water and cook for 1-2minutes.
煮一锅沸水,再把番茄放入锅内煮1-2分钟。

3)Drain out the hot water and place the tomatoes in the ice water for 30 seconds.
把热水倒掉,将番茄放入冰水里浸泡30秒。

4)Peel off the skin. Remove the stem and cut into small pieces.
将番茄皮剥落。去除番茄芯,然后切成小块状。

5)Use a fork to mash the tomatoes and then sieve it.
利用叉子把番茄压烂,再过滤即可。

*Of course you can skip above steps by using canned tomatoes paste. It is save time, quick and less work ^.-
*当然你也可以使用罐装的番茄糊以跳过以上麻烦的步骤。使用罐装的番茄糊,制作过程更省时,快速并减少工作。

Sieved the flour and mix in the sugar, salt, baking powder,dry parsley into mixing bowl and mix until combine.
筛入面粉后,加入砂糖,盐巴,泡打粉,干的香菜片在大碗中,然后搅拌均匀。

Add the oil into tomatoes paste and stir until well combine. Then pour the wet mixture with dry mixture until dough form.
将油加入番茄糊再搅拌均匀。之后,把湿性材料和干性材料一起混合成面团。

Wrap the dough with plastic wrap and place the cookies dough into fridge for 30 minutes.Then, use the rolling pin to flatten the dough to 0.4 mm thickness. Cut the cookies dough into stripes and use fork to make some whole on cookies surface and bake at 170C for 25-30 mins until crispy golden brown.

用保鲜膜把面团包起,然后将饼干面团放入冰箱里静置30分钟。之后,用擀面杖把面团压扁至4毫米的厚度,再切成条状并用叉子在餅皮表面戳小洞。然后预热烤箱在170℃,烘烤25〜30分钟至酥脆金黄色即可。
