Onsen Tamago Cook In Jar

Prepare a jar that can be hot filled with high temperatures of water and place an egg inside the jar.
*you can use a deep bowl(stand up for high temperatures) instead of jar.

Pour in 1000 cc of water into kettle. When boiled, mix in another 200cc of room temperatures of water.

Pour the water mixture into a jar , cover with aluminium foil and wait for 7 minutes.


Take out the warm egg and soak into cold water for 5 minutes. Done !
*soak the egg into cold water to reduce heat and avoid over cook.

It just so yummy when you serve onsen tamago with plain rice and sprinkle some black pepper, green onion , sesame and little amount of soy sauce.
